London February 2011 - OSJ Innovation Award for Nautilus Hooks

Nautilus Rigging topped an Industry wide vote to win the 2011 OSJ Innovation award at the annual Offshore Support Vessel Conference in London. The conference was attended by over 300 delegates and representatives from the international shipping community who voted Nautilus Hooks as worthy winners in recognition of this innovative design which heralds the "next generation" of safety hooks that have proven safety, and operational, benefits which significantly enhance workplace safety.

Nautilus Hooks are globally recognised as a technically advanced, patented, design that sets the new safety standard by eliminating the inherent risks, of potentially serious (and costly) pinch and trap hand injuries, which are commonly associated with the use of all traditional hooks, a design and operation that has essentially remained unchanged for more than 40 years.

Designer and Managing Director, Mr Bill Toon, in accepting the award commented "We are delighted at the response from the shipping industry who have been quick to recognise the immediate operational safety benefits that Nautilus Hooks provide, adopting Nautilus Hooks aligns corporate safety policy with industry recommended best practice and HSE requirements to provide the safest possible lifting equipment for use in the workplace and putting worker safety first"
